Consistency across sites is the actual requirement

What actually differs between suppliers

Reissue speed, not just bulk lead time. A new guard posted to a site needs a uniform inside days, not inside the four-to-six week lead time a bulk order might carry. Ask for the lead time on a single-set reissue order specifically, separate from the bulk quote.

Insignia and rank control. Supervisor insignia, agency badges, and any embroidered agency name need to be consistent across every batch. A supplier producing insignia in-house, against a fixed reference, avoids the colour and size drift that comes from insignia being outsourced to a different vendor per order.

Fabric for the actual duty, not a generic “uniform fabric.” Guards posted outdoors for long shifts need a different fabric weight than guards posted in an air-conditioned lobby. If your agency covers both, specify both rather than accepting one fabric for the whole contract.

Replacement policy in writing. Uniforms issued to guards wear out on a schedule that has nothing to do with the agency’s order calendar. Agree a replacement cycle (commonly annual for shirts and trousers, longer for outerwear) and price it into the contract up front, rather than negotiating each replacement batch as a one-off.
