The test is simple. Price the footwear both ways: inside the package, and as a separate order from a footwear-led supplier. If the gap is small, consolidate. If it is large, the coordination saving rarely covers it.

Ask for a per-head kit price rather than three separate SKU prices. It makes the comparison honest, makes contractor recovery possible, and closes the trap where a cheap item looks like a saving out of context.

Specify the article regardless

Consolidation is not a reason to be loose about what you are buying:

Udyogi, article number [X], certified to IS 15298 Part 2, toe cap type, sole compound, sizes per attached file, ISI test certificates against the article supplied.

Toe cap — steel is cheaper and heavier and trips metal detection; composite is lighter and passes it. Both meet 200 joules when certified.

Sole — PU or dual-density PU for general plant and warehouse work; rubber or nitrile where there is heat, oil or chemicals underfoot.

If the site is genuinely a hi-vis environment — road, rail, yard — also check ankle height and slip resistance, because those floors are wet and uneven more often than a plant floor is.

The certificate still has to match the article

Ask for the IS 15298 Part 2 certificate for the exact article shipped, in the format your auditor accepts. This is worth stating explicitly on a package order, because paperwork for a bundle sometimes arrives as one generic document covering everything, which is not what an auditor wants.
